Chocolate Toffee Cake Box Cookies

Before I share this recipe with you, I'd like to tell you what baking, and this blog means to me.
I'm the kind of person who has always done things for other people. Kindness is easily one of the most important things to me. And so is creativity. And I recently got big-time into baking. So when a school project came up, I knew that I had to expand on the idea.

My goal for this blog is to inspire kindness and creativity. I want my readers to be kind to everyone around them, even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard. Because every human has inherit worth and dignity. And to make this world a better place, we have to embrace that, inspire it, and act upon it. And we all must embrace, inspire, and act upon our intelligence and creativity. If you set your mind to something, nothing can really stop you from achieving it. That's why I'm determined to act upon my own creativity and intelligence, and create my own recipes to share with you all and the people around me.

These delicious chocolate toffee cookies are a recent creation of mine, and I'd definitely call them a favorite. They are super easy and fast, a perfect last minute treat. Plus, since they're made of cake mix, they are the perfect combo of a soft inside and a crispy outside.

For this recipe you will need a box of chocolate cake mix (I used Pillsbury devil's cake mix), toffee bits, 1/2 cup of oil (I used canola), 2 tablespoons of flour, and 2 eggs. Then it's as simple as mixing it all together in a medium sized bowl. A wooden spoon would probably work best.

It should be mixed until you come up with a dough substance. Then you'll add the toffee bits. I don't use a certain amount, just as much as I think suitable. You could use as little or as much as you want. Once they are mixed into the dough evenly, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spoon the dough onto a greased baking pan. The balls of dough should be evenly spaced on the pan, leaving room for them to expand in the oven. I recommend making them taller rather than wider. Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick stuck into the center comes out clean.
They will probably need to cool for at least 10 minutes. Once they are cooled, remove from the pans and enjoy!
