Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Valentines Fudge

Yup, there is EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH!

Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Whether you have a date or not, this holiday is a great excuse to eat a bunch of sweets. And homemade is best! This fudge recipe is suuuper easy (check out this fudge and this one too) and fun. It's chocolate-y, filled with chocolate chip cookie dough and topped with v-day sprinkles. Perfect combo!

Edible cookie dough has been trending over the past year especially. Who doesn't love cookie dough? The concept is pretty simple - nix the eggs. Baking soda and salt aren't really necessary either. I chilled that, then cut out some hearts, to make it Valentines-y (you can really make it year round with any shape you like).

The fudge part takes about a minute in total. All you have to do is melt equal parts chocolate chips and frosting in the microwave until smooth. No oven or stove needed! Chilling everything is what really takes up any time.

Decorate the top with sprinkles and you're done! Easy peasy :) Happy Valentine's Day!❤

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Valentines Fudge

Ingredients

For the cookie dough:
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • Chocolate chips
For the fudge:
  • 1 part chocolate chips/melts (I recommend 1 tub of frosting and 1 bag of chocolate chips - just make sure it's equal)
  • 1 part chocolate frosting
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Directions

  1. Beat together butter and sugars on medium speed in a medium sized bowl until smooth.
  2. Beat in vanilla to combine, then do the same with the flour.
  3. The mixture will be pretty sticky, mix it with a spoon and gather it into a pile at the bottom of the bowl.
  4. Cover the bowl of dough, and chill overnight or until hardened - about 3+ hours.
  5. Remove the dough from the fridge after time is up, you may need to sit it out for a bit to let it soften.
  6. Melt frosting and chips/melts in a microwave safe bowl on 15 second intervals, mixing each time until just smooth.
  7. Pour fudge into a tin foil lined pan and spread out into an even layer.
  8. Massage your cookie dough and roll out into a thick layer. Cut out shapes which are the height of your fudge (we don't want the fudge to cover the dough!).
  9. Gently press the dough throughout the fudge, then top with festive sprinkles.
  10. Either set the fudge at room temperature to harden, or chill in the fridge to speed up the process. This will take 2+ hours either way.
  11. Remove from foil, slice, and serve (pictured below)! :))
