St. Patrick's Day Trail Mix
St. Patrick's Day means bakers go all out on the green food.😀
Today (St. Patty's Day) I'm bringing you a suuuuper easy "trail mix" that's great for a last minute treat. Only four ingredients:
Candy melts
Pretzel sticks
Mini marshmallows &
Lucky Charms!
This is really addicting too - it's crunchy, soft, and sweet at the same time.
It seriously couldn't get easier. I mixed two cups of each ingredient together in a large bowl. Then it's time for the chocolate! There are green candy melts at craft stores, but at the grocery store I could only find white ones. So once I had melted it, I added in some Wilton Leaf Green gel food coloring to make it festive. 💚
Once it was all combined, I put it in the fridge to harden, but not for too long because the marshmallows would go stale. You could just leave it out at room temperature, but I'm impatient. 😂

St. Patrick's Day Trail Mix
Ingredients
- 2 cups of pretzels that are broken in half (easier to work with)
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cups Lucky Charms
- 1.5 cups candy melts, white or green
- Green gel food coloring (optional)
Directions
- Toss your pretzels, marshmallows, and Lucky Charms together in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave safe dish, melt your candy melts - the 1.5 cups solid will reduce to about 1 cup liquid (that's what we want)! Melt in 30 second intervals, stirring between. Mine took about two rounds plus an extra fifteen seconds.
- If you want, mix in some green gel food coloring until the color is evenly distributed in the chocolate.
- Pour the chocolate over the mix in the bowl, then mix with a spoon until it's all chocolate-coated.
- Cover and put in the fridge for about fifteen minutes, or just let it sit out at room temperature to harden.
- Enjoy!
