Cranberry Orange Raw Granola (vegan + oil-free)

'Tis the season for orange and cranberry! Christmas is only two days away, and besides music, food is the best way to get in the spirit. And in this case, you only need 5 ingredients. This raw granola is super easy and fun, and will make your breakfast festive!

Raw granola is basically cookie dough in it's purest, healthiest form. You can also check out my original rawnola and pumpkin spice rawnola. The ingredients are all very simple and healthy. For this cranberry orange rawnola, you will need dates, oats, syrup, orange and craisins. Check out the full recipe below!

This would pair lovely with vegan yogurt, on top of fruit, or in a smoothie bowl. No limits!

Have a happy holiday, no matter what you celebrate or where you go! I look forward to the recipes and creations to come in 2019.

Cranberry Orange Raw Granola

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 12-16 pitted dates (will depend on moisture)
  • 1/4 cup craisins
  • 1/4 Tbs syrup
  • 2 tsp orange zest+juice

Directions

  1. Add the oats and 4 of the dates to a blender and blend until the dates are chopped throughout.
  2. Continue to add and blend the dates 4 at a time. The rawnola should start to come together as a soft, crumbly mixture, so add dates as needed.
  3. Next, blend in the craisins, which will have a similar effect as the dates.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the syrup and the orange zest/juice. Add the mixture to the rawnola and blend one last time.
  5. Store the completed raw granola in an air tight container in the fridge, and enjoy!
